Components of computer system
What is computer?
A system is defined as a set of interacting elements, responding to inputs to produce outputs.
The components of computer system are following:
Software
1. All the intangible components of the computer system are known as Software.
2. Intangible components mean those components or parts, which we can't touch physically.
3. In other languages, we can say that all those computer applications or programs, which run behind the monitor's screen, are known as software.
4. Examples: Microsoft-Windows, MS-DOS, Notepad, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Windows Media Player etc.
Hardware
1. All the tangible components of the computer system are known as Hardware.
2. Tangible components mean all the physical components of the computer system, which we can touch and can freely move from one place to another.
3. Examples: CPU, Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, Speakers, Printer, Scanner etc.
Firmware
1. Firmware can be defined as a group of software and hardware.
2. Because in a computer system, without hardware components, the software has no meaning and without software components, hardware has no meaning. I.e both of these components are mutually dependent.
3. Both of them must work together to make computers produce some useful output. This group is called a Firmware.
4. Examples: All the software applications or programs are installed in the hard disk, which is a hardware component.
Humanware
1. User or an operator, who uses the computer machine, is known as Humanware.
2. Humanware can be a computer professional, a student, a novice user or any other person, who operates this machine for completing his/her task.
Conclusion: In this post hardware, software, firmware, humanware components are described. If you are like this post then " share my post!"
